What are Proteoglycans?
Proteoglycans are a type of complex polysaccharide produced by the body. They are believed to be effective in maintaining the moisture of skin and cartilage, and play a role in joint protection. Medience’s "Proteoglycan E" is a raw material derived from squid with more than 85.0% standardized type E chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan refined in Japan.
Medience’s "Proteoglycan E" consists of type E chondroitin, which has a different structure from other chondroitins, and is suggested to have "total anti-aging" effects such as balance of joint periphery, promotion of collagen production, prevention of metabolic decline, and skin-moisturization.

Medience's "Proteoglycan E" is extracted from squid head cartilage and does not contain any fillers. Employing Japanese domestic refining processes, we are able to produce high-purity proteoglycans, and have continued to supply them for many years. *We are also developing original raw materials with modified proteoglycan content. Proteoglycan E is refined at an ISO-certified plant in Japan to ensure rigorous quality control.
